A very balanced classic server. Low rates make a must to play with your friends or make new friends in order to get lv 99, so community is very important. The community is very friendly and most of the times they enjoy to play with new people.

Best 1/1/1 server ever. Balanced classes. Epic custom content, items, dungeons and cards. GM are understanding and people are nice to each other. Cool quality of life features. Lots of costume hat and exclusive WOE new costume hat dropped from chest unique from the current season. Custom content include new monsters and new dungeons that are BALANCED. Nothing new added to the server is done randomly and they will fix things quickly if something is poorly implemented. Assassin now worth playing.

If you have always loved the PvM aspect of RO, Payon Stories is the server for you. The server has modified the EXP table for almost every mob, which balances the HP and difficulty ratio to their exp, making many monsters much more viable as compared to old school RO. I personally love exploring the world and leveling at places regular servers would never travel to due to poor exp and drops. In addition to that, the server has occasional events and costumes to keep everyone busy.

There is no server better than Payon Stories currently. There are very mild edits to it to make the annoyances of classic less annoying. There is an active WoE scene, active MvP scene, and active leveling groups. The only thing I think the GMs could give some love is PvP. It is currently very expensive to be a PvP player, since the rates are low.

Old player here and impressed by the server's stability and absolutely no lag. The staff did a good job banning toxic players. If you are new and planning to RMT or botting better skip this, there's no place for those infractions, staff has no mercy. I don't agree with the staff's decision to postpone trans classes and invest their time and effort in making a sage rework while facing a very slow market. But that doesn't change my opinion of being a very good server to play with nostalgia.

Made this account just so I can review the server, first of all the server is really balanced and still getting balanced for different classses, friendly peeps and all in total good server no corruption no donation no spoon feeding etc. all GM's admins use their money and time to keep the server running! my only tiny complain is the updates are kinda on the slow side because like I said Gm's and players are the one running the server! but in all join its a fun server :)

This might be the best Ragnarok low rate server I have ever played. Since my experience on early days of Official servers I have never had such a pleasent experience. The community is welcoming and helpful, the class balances issued on the server are really well thought and make all classes fun to play. The staff is incredibly friendly and the economy is such as a new player can easily get things going. I recommend everyone to try out

Excellent server when you want to reminiscence the Ragnarok of old times. Rates feel just right with 1x drop rates except for a 0.01 boost for cards. The class rebalancing has been done with great care and makes for more diversity and the only negative in my opinion is the existence of super novices. SNs are an abomination of nature and an affront to Odin, but when considering all the positives of Payon Stories I can tolerate them.

I created an account after decades for this review. This server is a work of love. There are custom maps, custom art, well made and well balanced items and sets. All classes are tuned to be more fun to play and most builds are balanced to work, Dagger sin, Holy Cross Templar, Falconer Hunter, Mace Battle Priest, Melee Ninja are all viable and unique experiences. I recommend this to anyone who likes well managed servers, it's the best I've ever played. There is zero P2W BS.

RO was my first MMO ever, and Payon Stories is, hands down, the best server I've ever played in. It delivers on what it promises, a fresh and simultaneously nostalgic experience, but most importantly, it makes you feel like you are an active part of it. The GMs work diligently with the players to deliver the best experience possible while striving to maintain a healthy community. If you're looking for a good mix between traditional and creative, this server is it.
